Basketball Recap: Summerville Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses at Home

There's no place like home for Summerville, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Big Valley Christian Lions 58-56. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bears also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Despite the loss, Big Valley Christian still got an impressive performance from Titus Boone, who posted 31 points and four steals. The contest was Boone's 18th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Brody Bulter, who earned nine points.

Summerville's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-12. As for Big Valley Christian, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-7.

Summerville will head out to face off against Bret Harte at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Bret Harte's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight games. Big Valley Christian has already played their next matchup (against Linden), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
