Baseball Recap: Ferguson Triumphs

Ferguson won the last time they faced Keys Gate and things went their way on Friday too. Ferguson came out on top against Keys Gate by a score of 7-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.

Jose Rijo looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time he hasn't allowed a single hit since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Alain Marquez, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3. He has become a key player for Ferguson: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 5-7-1 otherwise. Adrian Perez also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Ferguson now has a winning record of 8-7-1. As for Keys Gate, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-10.

Looking ahead, Ferguson will face off against Dwyer at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Keys Gate, they will challenge Coral Shores at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
