It was a good run, but ALA - Queen Creek unfortunately witnessed the end of their 12-game winning streak on Friday. They lost 3-0 to the ALA - Gilbert North Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

ALA - Queen Creek might've come up short, but they didn't make it easy on ALA - Gilbert North: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-22, 27-25.

When it comes to explaining why ALA - Queen Creek lost, don't look at Hayden Holman. Despite the final result, he had 13 digs.

The defeat was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 22-4. As for ALA - Gilbert North, the win (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 22-2.

Coincidentally, ALA - Queen Creek and ALA - Gilbert North will both be playing Eastmark the next time they take the court. The Patriots will host the Firebirds at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Eagles will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
