Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Honeoye). They walked away with a 44-37 victory over the Geneva Panthers on Monday. This was payback for the Bulldogs, who suffered a 42-33 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Geneva lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Amelia Gerling, who posted eight points along with eight rebounds and four blocks. With that strong performance, Gerling is now averaging an impressive 2.5 blocks per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Kate Good, who earned six points in addition to seven boards and five assists.

The win (which was Honeoye's third in a row) raised their record to 3-4. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.0 points per game. As for Geneva, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-3.

Honeoye didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 37-26 victory against Romulus on the 8th. As for Geneva, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 61-41 win against Red Jacket on the 8th.
