Pocono Mountain East dropped their record down to 13-6 on Friday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 12-3 to the Nazareth Area Blue Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Cardinals have suffered since April 10th.

Pocono Mountain East saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bobby Ehrmann, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

As for Nazareth Area, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-5. Considering they have won eight contests by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

On Nazareth Area's side, Zak Novak tossed a big game, tossing six innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Matt Daems, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Strawn, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Pocono Mountain East and Nazareth Area should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. The Cardinals (ranked 117th) will meet Pocono Mountain West (ranked 518th) at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Nazareth Area will take on Easton Area at 4:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (32 vs. 111).
