Volleyball Game Preview: Seminole Ridge Hawks vs. Sunset Knights

The Seminole Ridge Hawks will take on the Sunset Knights in a tournament on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Seminole Ridge had won two straight games and Evan Holowecky did his part to make it three on Thursday. Seminole Ridge blew past Somerset Academy - Canyons 3-0 with plenty of help from Holowecky, who had six digs, five aces, and one block. Holowecky is also crushing it when it comes to assists: he's posted at least 22 every time he's taken the court this season.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-17, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Sunset made easy work of Hialeah Educational Academy on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-18, 25-20.

Seminole Ridge's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1. As for Sunset, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Seminole Ridge beat Sunset 2-0 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Does Seminole Ridge have another victory up their sleeve, or will Sunset turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
