Softball Recap: Pinnacle Classical Academy Starts off Right with Win over Community Christian Academy

Pinnacle Classical Academy took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Community Christian Academy Warriors as Pinnacle Classical Academy made off with a 25-2 win. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won four in a row.

Evie Hawkins and Anzlee Kilby made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Hawkins tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Kilby pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. At the plate, Hawkins went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, four RBI, and one triple, while Kilby went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and one triple.

In other batting news, Pinnacle Classical Academy got a massive performance out of Eva Floyd, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those four runs gave Floyd a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Riley Lawrence, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Coincidentally, Pinnacle Classical Academy and Community Christian Academy will both be playing Christian Family Academy the next time they take the field. Community Christian Academy will host Christian Family Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, while Pinnacle Classical Academy will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
