Basketball Game Preview: Thunderbird Titans vs. Paradise Honors Panthers

Thunderbird has won three straight games at home, while Paradise Honors has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Wednesday. The Thunderbird Titans will host the Paradise Honors Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Monday, Thunderbird didn't have too much trouble with Youngker as they won 46-30.

Meanwhile, Paradise Honors won against Deer Valley on Wednesday with 78 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Monday. Paradise Honors took their contest with ease, bagging a 78-16 victory over Moon Valley. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 23 points or more this season.

Thunderbird better keep an eye on Morgan Van Dyke. She was instrumental in Paradise Honors' win, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 13 steals. Van Dyke is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Lizzy Guincho, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 steals.

Paradise Honors smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 26 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in six consecutive matchups.

Paradise Honors' win bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Thunderbird, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season.
