Recap: St. John's Catholic Prep Vikings vs. Maryvale Prep
The St. John's Catholic Prep Vikings were the 56-32 winner over Maryvale Prep when they last played one another back in January of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. St. John's Catholic Prep took a 47-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of Maryvale Prep on Wednesday. That's two games in a row now that St. John's Catholic Prep has lost by exactly 11 points.
Despite the loss, St. John's Catholic Prep still got an impressive performance from Nadia Ferguson, who scored 22 points. Cayenne Pigeon was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
St. John's Catholic Prep's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Maryvale Prep, their victory ended a eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 1-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. John's Catholic Prep will face off against Garrison Forest at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Maryvale Prep, they will head out on the road to square off against Mercy at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
