Softball Recap: Clearfield Comes Up Short

If Clearfield was riding high fresh off their 11-1 takedown of Central last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Clearfield Bison fell 9-4 to the Bellefonte Raiders on Thursday. The Bison haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Eve Siegel made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Haley Billotte, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Clearfield's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clearfield will host Bishop Guilfoyle at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bellefonte, they will face off against Tyrone at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
