Basketball Game Preview: Little Falls Flyers vs. Apollo Eagles

The Little Falls Flyers will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Apollo Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Little Falls will come in still looking for their first win of the season.

Last Tuesday, Little Falls came up short against Upsala and fell 58-47.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Apollo, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They put the hurt on Detroit Lakes with a sharp 90-68 win on Tuesday.

Little Falls better focus on containing Azayah Washington and Trevor Terfehr as the pair were huge in Apollo's win. Washington posted 26 points along with eight assists and four steals, while Terfehr had 19 points. The game was Washington's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Grayson Kaufman, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Apollo now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Little Falls, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Little Falls took their victory against Apollo in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 by a conclusive 71-50. Will Little Falls repeat their success, or does Apollo have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
