Volleyball Game Preview: Wheaton North Falcons vs. Lake Park Lancers

After both having extra time off, the Wheaton North Falcons and the Lake Park Lancers will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wheaton North will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

On Wednesday, Wheaton North beat West Aurora 2-0.

Wheaton North didn't let West Aurora take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Lake Park earned a 2-0 win over St. Francis on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lancers.

While Lake Park won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-18.

Wheaton North pushed their record up to 22-10 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Lake Park, their win bumped their record up to 23-10.

Wheaton North beat Lake Park 2-0 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
