Volleyball Game Preview: Aubrey Chaparrals vs. Richland Raiders

The Aubrey Chaparrals will head out to square off against the Richland Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Aubrey is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 19 games.

On Friday, Aubrey made easy work of Gainesville and carried off a 3-0 win.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Aubrey took every set by at least 16 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-6, 25-8.

Meanwhile, Richland had just enough and edged out Van Alstyne 3-2 on Friday.

Richland wouldn't go down easily and took Van Alstyne into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 19-25, 25-27, 25-19, 15-13.

Aubrey's victory bumped their record up to 35-2. As for Richland, their win bumped their record up to 15-12.

Everything went Aubrey's way against Richland when the teams last played back in September, as Aubrey made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chaparrals since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
