Monticello had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Buffalo Bison by a score of 8-4. That's more bragging rights for the Magic, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Josi Ordorff made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Ordorff was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emma McLoed, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and two RBI. McKenna Biegler was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one RBI.
