Dundee/Bradford Central had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They beat Red Jacket on Tuesday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 8-2. The BraveScots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 contests by six runs or more this season.
Addie Tham was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
In other batting news, Dundee/Bradford Central let Piper Simpson and Alexis Rosno run wild. Simpson went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs, while Rosno got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one run. That's the most stolen bases Simpson has posted since back in April. Riley Brisco also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Dundee/Bradford Central pushed their record up to 13-1-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Red Jacket, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-16.
