Football Recap: Nixon Mustangs vs. Martin Tigers
Nixon won the last time they faced Martin and things went their way on Saturday too. The Mustangs secured a 25-20 W over the Tigers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Hunter Salinas was his usual excellent self, rushing for 154 yards and one touchdown while picking up 8.6 yards per carry, and also throwing for 279 yards and three TDs while completing 75% of his passes. That's the most passing yards he has posted since back in September. 151 of Salinas' passing yards were hauled in by Mateo Hernandez, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
Nixon's record now sits at 7-3. As for Martin, they dropped their record down to 3-7 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
Coming up, Nixon will head out to face off against New Braunfels at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Unicorns' defense has only allowed 14.2 points per game this season, so the Mustangs' offense will have their work cut out for them. Martin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
