Baseball Recap: Central Bucks South Extends Winning Streak to Four

Central Bucks South entered their tilt with Pennridge on Thursday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Rams. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-0 on Monday.

Brett Barrett was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, Connor Thompson was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jake Yang, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Central Bucks South's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-5. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Pennridge, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-8.
