The Seacrest Country Day Stingrays will square off against the Naples Golden Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
On Monday, Seacrest Country Day made easy work of Lely and carried off a 12-3 win. Considering the Stingrays have won five matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Ella Hutchinson made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Hutchinson was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Jolie Booth and Colbie Longaker did most of the damage at the plate: Booth went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Longaker got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Booth is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Dailin Delgado, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Naples, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. Everything went their way against Palmetto Ridge on Tuesday as they made off with a 9-3 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Golden Eagles have posted against the Bears since April 19, 2023.
Like Seacrest Country Day, Naples also got a great game from a two-way player: Audrina Torres. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave Torres a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Cassie Kramer was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Those two hits gave her a new career-high.
Seacrest Country Day's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-5. As for Naples, their win bumped their record up to 4-10.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Seacrest Country Day has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Naples struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 5.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Seacrest Country Day came out on top in a nail-biter against Naples when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 5-4. Do the Stingrays have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Golden Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
