Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask James Kenan). They strolled past the North Lenoir Hawks with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 56-42. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 53-36 back in January.

James Kenan found their leader in sophomore Y'Anna Rivers, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Aleyah Wilson, who posted 11 points.

North Lenoir's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ta'Sheena Lynch, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Cassidee Fraser was another key player, putting up eight points and three steals.

James Kenan has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for North Lenoir, they dropped their record down to 5-15 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home.

James Kenan didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 51-37 loss against East Duplin on the 7th. As for North Lenoir, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 35-31 victory against South Lenoir on the 11th.
