Baseball Recap: Douglas Takes a Loss

Douglas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Fort Payne Wildcats, falling 12-5. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 8-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Douglas' defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Fort Payne, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Douglas will challenge Westbrook Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Westbrook Christian will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Douglas surely won't give up without a fight. As for Fort Payne, they are headed away from home for the first time to square off against Fyffe at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
