Basketball Recap: Chippewa Falls Cardinals vs. Rice Lake Warriors
Chippewa Falls was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 84-50 loss at the hands of the Rice Lake Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 65-27 back in January.
Adaline Sheplee was her usual excellent self, going 11 of 18 to rack up 28 points and four steals for Rice Lake. The contest was Sheplee's 12th in a row with at least 15 points. Addison Schmidt was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 boards.
Chippewa Falls' loss dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Rice Lake, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-2.
Looking ahead, Chippewa Falls will be playing at home against Wausau West at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Rice Lake, they will head out to face off against Hudson at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Rice Lake is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.8 points per game this season.
