Softball Recap: East Webster Wolverines vs. Starkville Yellowjackets
East Webster had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on the Starkville Yellowjackets with a sharp 15-2 victory on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Wolverines, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Jasie Rae Flora made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Flora was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in February.
In other batting news, Faith Edwards was a standout: she scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Paytan Sanders, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
