Basketball Recap: Ramona Snags Tenth Victory in Last 11 Games

Ramona entered their tilt with Rubidoux on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They enjoyed a cozy 88-71 win over the Rubidoux Falcons. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 465th, while the Falcons are ranked 966th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ramona to victory, but perhaps none more so than Garrett Pickens, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 15 assists. Pickens is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least three every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Troy Terrell, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten boards.

Ramona has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.3 points per game. As for Rubidoux, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-10.

Ramona didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 73-43 victory against Patriot on the 21st. Rubidoux has also already played their next contest, a 61-41 win against La Sierra on the 21st.
