Baseball Recap: Knob Noster Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Knob Noster, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They never let the Lexington Minutemen get on the board and left with an 11-0 win on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

The team relied heavily on Cade Cantrell, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Wyatt Brand was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Knob Noster hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lexington struck out ten times.

Knob Noster has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Lexington, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-16.

Looking ahead, Knob Noster will venture away from home to square off against Carrollton at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lexington, they will challenge Holden at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
