Basketball Game Preview: Walhalla Razorbacks vs. Pickens Blue Flame

Walhalla is 9-1 against Pickens since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Walhalla Razorbacks will welcome the Pickens Blue Flame at 7:30 p.m. Walhalla is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

Last Monday, Walhalla lost to Seneca at home by a 71-54 margin.

Despite the loss, Walhalla got top-tier performance from Jack Williams, who went 8 of 20 on his way to 28 points along with seven boards and six assists. With that strong performance, Williams is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Witt Austin, who posted nine points.

Meanwhile, Pickens played a tough matchup on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Liberty, falling 85-42. The Blue Flame were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 52-14.

Pickens' defeat was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Walhalla, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
