Soccer Game Preview: Mexico vs. Wright City

Mexico is 1-7 against Wright City since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Bulldogs will take on the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with eight defeats in a row, Mexico turned things around against Canton on Wednesday. They skirted past the Tigers 3-2.

Meanwhile, Wright City kept a clean sheet against Hazelwood East on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 6-0 win. Wright City's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four contests.

Wright City's victory bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Mexico, their win bumped their record up to 4-17.

Mexico suffered a grim 5-1 defeat to Wright City when the teams last played back in March. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
