Estevan Mariscal Game Report: vs Los Alamos

Deming had to settle for second on Friday, but Estevan Mariscal sure wasn't going down easily. Mariscal turned in nothing short of a gem, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in February of 2024.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Deming Wildcats face off against Alamogordo Tigers at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Sadly, Mariscal's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped Deming's six-game streak of wins at home. With the streak broken, Mariscal and Deming surely have a bit of extra motivation heading into Saturday's match.
