Hayden strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Emporia Spartans a 14-0 shutout. Considering the Wildcats have won seven matchups by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Hayden's win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-0. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Emporia, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hayden will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Osage City at 4:00 p.m. on the 29th. As for Emporia, they will venture away from home to square off against Topeka on Friday.
