Softball Recap: Escambia County Takes a Loss

Escambia County lost against Jackson two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Blue Devils lost 19-1 to the Aggies. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Escambia County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Treasure Riley, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. Those hits marked the first that Riley got this season.

Escambia County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Jackson, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Escambia County will square off against W.S. Neal at 4:30 p.m. on the 10th. As for Jackson, they will take on Clarke County at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
