Football Recap: Stanhope Elmore Mustangs vs. Wetumpka Indians
After flying high against Rehobeth last Friday, Stanhope Elmore came back down to earth. The Stanhope Elmore Mustangs took a hard 27-13 fall against the Wetumpka Indians on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 56-42 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stanhope Elmore will venture away from home to challenge Calera at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Calera is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 26.3 points per game this season. As for Wetumpka, they will head out to take on Demopolis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Demopolis knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Wetumpka likes a good challenge.
