Vernon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 11-4 to the Chipley Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-0 back in March.

Ava Roche made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Lila Owens, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.

Vernon's record is now 2-10. As for Chipley, they pushed their record up to 11-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Vernon will head out to challenge Bozeman at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
