Volleyball Recap: East Lawrence's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

East Lawrence can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They came out on top against the Colbert County Indians by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Lauren Garner paced East Lawrence's offense, picking up seven kills. Garner got some help from Cheyenne Hackett and her eight assists. Hackett was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

East Lawrence's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Colbert County, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

East Lawrence has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Sulligent on the 6th. As for Colbert County, they will venture away from home to face off against Colbert Heights at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give the Indians their first taste of in-conference action this season.
