Baseball Game Preview: Edgewood Lions vs. Garfield Bulldogs

The Edgewood Lions will head out to face off against the Garfield Bulldogs at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

On Wednesday, everything went Edgewood's way against United Christian Academy as Edgewood made off with a 12-6 victory.

Zack Davis was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Davis was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, Edgewood got a massive performance out of Maddox Murillo, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Noah Ramirez was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Garfield, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They blew past Channel Islands 8-1 on Tuesday.

The win got Garfield back to even at 1-1. As for Edgewood, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
