Basketball Game Preview: Westfield School Hornets vs. Calvary Christian Knights

The Westfield School Hornets will take on the Calvary Christian Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Westfield School is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, Westfield School was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 53-48 to Brookstone.

Meanwhile, Calvary Christian played a tough matchup on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 79-53 to St. Anne-Pacelli. The loss continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now lost nine in a row.

Westfield School will have to keep a close watch on Tj Benson and Liam Hocutt, a pair of players who had a big impact on Calvary Christian's prior game. Benson posted 22 points and five steals, while Hocutt went 7 of 15 on his way to 19 points. Those 19 points gave Hocutt a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Hosten, who had seven points and ten rebounds.

Calvary Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Westfield School, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.
