Volleyball Recap: Umatilla Now 8-1 over Last Nine Games + How To Watch

The Umatilla Bulldogs were able to grind out a solid victory over the Wekiva Mustangs on Tuesday, taking the game 3-1.

Umatilla was actually outscored in aggregate across those four sets (93-92), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 16-25, 25-23, 26-24.

Aubrey Schnitz was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had 46 digs and one assist. That's the most digs she has posted since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of Paityn McAuliffe, who had 27 digs.

Umatilla was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in four consecutive matches.

Umatilla is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Wekiva, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-10.

Umatilla does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wekiva, they will face off against Oak Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
