Soccer Game Preview: Irvington vs. College Park

The Irvington Vikings are taking a road trip to take on the College Park Falcons at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with nine consecutive losses for Irvington and five for College Park.

Irvington managed to keep up with James Logan until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Irvington lost 5-0 to James Logan. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1083rd, while the Colts are ranked 478th).

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for College Park's offense. They fell just short of Ygnacio Valley by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. That's two games in a row now that the Falcons have lost by just one goal.

Irvington's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for College Park, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
