Basketball Game Preview: St. Peter's Spartans vs. Crestline Bulldogs

St. Peter is 2-8 against Crestline since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The St. Peter's Spartans will host the Crestline Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. St. Peter's will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

St. Peter's is headed into the contest having just posted their biggest victory since December 9, 2024 on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Bucyrus as St. Peter's made off with a 68-43 win.

Meanwhile, Crestline suffered their biggest defeat since December 6, 2023 on Tuesday. They were beaten by Ridgedale 82-43. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-18.

St. Peter's pushed their record up to 6-10 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points over those games. As for Crestline, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.

St. Peter's was able to grind out a solid win over Crestline when the teams last played last Monday, winning 45-37. Will St. Peter's repeat their success, or does Crestline have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
