Saint Andrew had won seven straight games and Xander Gerard did his part to make it eight on Friday. The Scots breezed past the St. John Paul II Academy Eagles to the tune of 82-42 thanks in part to Gerard, who shot 73% from the field on his way to 23 points and five rebounds. His evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points.

Brendan Gerard was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 15 points and nine assists. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 45.4% shooting accuracy.

Saint Andrew's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for St. John Paul II Academy, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-6.

Looking ahead, Saint Andrew's will be home for the holidays to greet Hialeah Educational Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. John Paul II Academy, they will head out to challenge King's Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Lions have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
