Baseball Recap: Canon City Tigers vs. Coronado Cougars

Canon City lost against Coronado back in May of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Canon City Tigers took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Coronado Cougars. Canon City has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tanner Leonard and Edgardo Cubero stepped up to the plate in a big way. Leonard scored a run while going 1-for-4, while Cubero scored a run while going 2-for-4. Eric Chavez was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

On Coronado's side, Corbyn Stowe was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Stowe has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive pitching appearances. Stowe was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-5.
