Volleyball Game Preview: Floyd Central Highlanders vs. Yorktown Tigers

After both having extra time off, the Floyd Central Highlanders and the Yorktown Tigers will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Floyd Central comes in on three and Yorktown on ten.

Floyd Central is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. Everything went their way against Franklin Community as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

Meanwhile, Yorktown faced Center Grove in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Tigers skirted past the Trojans 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Tigers have posted since September 30th.

Floyd Central's victory bumped their record up to 26-6. As for Yorktown, their win bumped their record up to 25-7.

Floyd Central couldn't quite get it done against Yorktown in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 as they fell 3-1. Can the Highlanders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
