Soccer Recap: Charlotte Takes a Loss

Despite a strong season so far, Charlotte has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were one goals away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lely Trojans. If the Fightin' Tarpons were looking for revenge after losing 4-2 to them when the teams met on Friday, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Charlotte's defeat dropped their record down to 13-3-1. As for Lely, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-4-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Charlotte will challenge Golden Gate at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lely, they will square off against Cape Coral at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Lely is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.6 goals per game this season.
