Preview: Arrowhead Christian vs. Rosemead
On Friday Arrowhead Christian take on Rosemead at Citrus Valley at 7:00 PM. Arrowhead Christian is expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the game prepared for a fight.
Everything went Arrowhead Christian's way against Whittier Christian last Friday as the team secured a 45-0 win. The Arrowhead Christian offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the match anyway.
Meanwhile, it was all tied up at the half for Rosemead and La Puente, but Rosemead stepped up in the second half. Rosemead were able to grind out a solid victory over La Puente, winning 16-7.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 3-0. In their win, Rosemead relied heavily on sophomore David Padilla, who rushed for 209 yards and 1 touchdown; a key strategy for Arrowhead Christian will lie in finding a way to minimize his impact.
