While Farmersville's victory against Sulphur Springs wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Farmersville Farmers came out on top against the Sulphur Springs Wildcats on Thursday by a score of 2-0 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Farmers also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Farmersville saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Haley Watkins, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Farmersville's win bumped their record up to 6-8-2. As for Sulphur Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 11-2.

When Farmersville and Sulphur Springs next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Farmersville will try to stop Mount Vernon's four-game winning streak when they meet at 1:45 p.m. on Thursday. Farmersville's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Sulphur Springs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Similarly, Sulphur Springs will take on Hughes Springs and their four-game winning streak at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
