Soccer Game Preview: Cross Keys vs. Lakeside

The Cross Keys Phoenix will face off against the Lakeside Vikings at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Cross Keys has struggled recently with four losses in a row, while Lakeside will arrive with three straight wins.

Cross Keys fell victim to Marist and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 10-0 to the War Eagles. That's two games in a row now that the Phoenix have lost by exactly ten goals.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last game, Lakeside made sure to put some goals up on the board against Shiloh last Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Generals with a sharp 8-1 victory.

Lakeside pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those three contests. As for Cross Keys, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
