After low-scoring totals in their previous three match, Darlington brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Boscobel Bulldogs a 20-0 shutout on Monday. The Redbirds' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Darlington's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Boscobel, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Darlington has already played their next game, a 9-2 loss against Southwestern on the 17th. As for Boscobel, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 30-0 defeat against Cuba City on the 17th.
