Softball Recap: Saint John Paul the Great Catholic Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Flint Hill, Saint John Paul the Great Catholic was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They walked away with a 21-16 victory over the Collegiate Cougars. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Wolves' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Jadeyn Winmill was a standout: she scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of her six plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Nichole Lopez, who scored two runs while going 4-for-6.

Saint John Paul the Great Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .635. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matchups.
