Recap: Arcanum Trojans vs. Mississinawa Valley Blackhawks
The Arcanum Trojans pushed their score all the way to 76 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a hard 92-76 fall against Mississinawa Valley. Arcanum has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.
Arcanum lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Caroline Long, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds. Long hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylee Leeper, who scored 18 points.
Arcanum's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-4. As for Mississinawa Valley, they pushed their record up to 9-4 with that victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.
Arcanum will take on National Trail at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mississinawa Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Twin Valley South at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Twin Valley South comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
