Georgia high school football: Week 2 top 25 schedule, scores

This week's Georgia high school football schedule is headlined by No. 1 Buford traveling to North Carolina to take on Mallard Creek (Charlotte). The Wolves are coming off an 18-0 win over a preseason national top 10 team in St. Frances Academy (Baltimore, Md.).

The only game involving two teams in top 25 is between No. 24 Norcross and No. 2 Mill Creek (Hoschton). Norcross is coming off a 45-23 win over Marietta as quarterback A.J. Watkins threw for two touchdowns and ran for another. Mill Creek topped North Gwinnett 49-14 as Navy commit Cameron Robinson bustled for 229 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

Georgia's No. 11 team, Woodward Academy (College Park) heads to Tennessee to face the No. 2 team in the Volunteer State, McCallie (Chattanooga, Tenn.). Woodward Academy won its first game of the season 45-8 over Trinity Christian as senior quarterback Griffin Marshall threw for 235 yards and four touchdowns while completing 14 of 16 passes.
