Soccer Game Preview: Moriarty vs. Los Alamos

Moriarty hasn't had much luck against Los Alamos recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Pintos will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hilltoppers at 4:00 p.m. Moriarty will be strutting in after a win while Los Alamos will be coming in after a defeat.

Moriarty's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Del Norte. The result was nothing new for Moriarty, who have now won eight contests by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Del Norte with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Lindsey Rebarchik (4), Callysta Wortman (4), and Caroline Roberts (2).

Meanwhile, Los Alamos faced Albuquerque Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Hilltoppers fell just short of the Chargers by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, Los Alamos' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Moriarty is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 50 goals over those eight matches. As for Los Alamos, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6-1.
