Baseball Recap: Five Straight Home Victories for Rusk

While Rusk didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-17-2), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They won by a run and slipped past the Harleton Wildcats 6-5. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Rusk's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Harleton, their loss ended a 12-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Rusk will take on Diboll in a tournament on Saturday. As for Harleton, they will head out to face off against Tatum at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
